As we reported yesterday, the so-called "rebels" in Syria are overwhelmingly Al-Qaeda who want to establish a fundamentalist Islamic Republic in Syria.
Today, the NY Times reported - for the first time - on this fact. Not only did the Times tell the world about their political affiliation, it added information proving our contention that they are Al-Qaeda at heart - and that connection is growing stronger with each passing day.
Treason is defined in the Constitution as, "Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort. No Person shall be convicted of Treason unless on the Testimony of two Witnesses to the same overt Act, or on Confession in open Court."
If providing Al-Qaeda - no matter what name it uses to cover its true self - munitions and training doesn't constitute "giving aid and comfort to the enemy," then treason as a legal concept is dead.
For this reason, everyone involved in giving aid and comfort to Al-Qadea, with whom we are supposedly "at war," thus justifying Obama's murderous droning campaign, should be indicted and tried for treason.
That includes not only Obama, Kerry, Clinton, and the others involved in the administration, but also the Senators who voted the war resolution which will prostitute our military into a mercenary army for Al-Qaeda. McCain and Graham should be the first to face arrest and trial.
Following is today's NY Times story.
The Syrian rebels posed casually, standing over their prisoners with firearms pointed down at the shirtless and terrified men.
